Previous Work

BizCube

BizCube was in the process of launching a brand new SaaS that offered an easy, innovative platform for users to build new websites. They needed content that attracted searchers to their services. Using keyword research and audience targeting, I crafted an article that aimed to solve this issue.

WebFX

I spent one year as a copywriter at WebFX, where I wrote articles on a huge variety of topics. I gained valuable insight into the ground floor of content creation and saw what works and what didn’t.

After a year of copywriting, I was promoted to a digital media specialist position, where I conducted various SEO strategies such as keyword research, digital PR, content silos, link building and more to drive traffic to our clients’ websites.

Plain Press

I interned at Plain Press for two summers, where I worked right alongside the Editor in Chief. I gained invaluable skills during my time there, including information gathering, interviewing, taking photos, writing stories, and seeing how a finished publication comes together. It was an awesome experience that taught me how to be a great journalist.

In this article, I wrote about the West Side Catholic Center’s partnership with EDWINS, a program that worked to rehabilitate formerly incarcerated individuals by training them in the culinary arts for restaurant jobs all over Cleveland. It was one of many stories I found in this area, where the community came together for common good.

For this story I interviewed several members from the EYEJ (Empowering Youth, Exploring Justice), an organization that gives voice to the youth and seeks to enact positive change in the Cleveland area. I focused on the issue of the digital divide and how potent of an issue it had become, especially with schools going fully virtual.

LarryTouchdown.com

I worked as a content curator at LarryTouchdown.com in the Fall of 2020, where I helped execute a digital marketing strategy that utilized social media, SEO, blogging, and keyword research to drive traffic to our site.

Bobcats Spikeball

I helped build the brand of a club at Ohio University, using social media to help drive traffic and create new members. When I became President junior year, I assumed leadership of the club and strove to build a welcoming, inviting community. I was able to organize a successful tournament in the Spring which would not have been possible without digital marketing.. It was an awesome experience that taught me how to use digital media to translate traffic into new members for the club.
